Checkered FlagSTORY / GAMEPLAY
In a F1 racing game, don't expect any fancy story! You are a Formula 1 pilot and your main goal is to race in every F1 track and finally get the big Trophy. You car is pretty tough to handle so you'll need to always have your attention on the road (and use the brakes around each curve). The game's available modes are: Practice, Tournament and Single Race. Checkered Flag also gives you the option to choose weather effects during the race (which are quite impressive) and it can be played with up to six players!

GRAPHICS / SOUND
Checkered Flag is based on 3D polygons with bright colors and some pretty cool weather effects. The game's speed is particularly high when you hit the gas, though you have to slow down in almost every curve so as not to crash! Well, although its nice presentation, Checkered Flag looks a bit outdated compared to SEGA's more polished Virtua Racing back in 1994. Sonically, the engine's sound plus the braking sound effects and the discrete in-game music, are pretty nice to listen to. Checkered Flag needs some skill and patience in order to master its controls and finally win each and every race. But once you manage to master it, you will surely enjoy it.
